I have uploaded a short video clip from after the race to YouTube.

SmugMug Photos from Sprint Race
Mark Nadell, the ACMS coach has posted a bunch of photos from the Sprint Races last Friday. They are indexed, but you should browse the thumbnails to see everyone. I am glad to see that Cody has finally found his Race Face! Perhaps he can give some pointers to Matea.
Updated Team Point and PerCent Back Tables
After the Sprint Races the Team Point Contribution and PerCent Back Tables have been updated. Note that I am suspicious of the accuracy of the Boys Sprint Times as they seem too fast and they took a long time to be actually published. Still informative though.
Sprint Results and Standings
I have uploaded a few preliminary PDF files for Friday’s Sprint Races.
1) Race Results showing Varsity/Open Places. Note that the first 12 places were determined from the elimination heats and the rest from the preliminary time trial.
2) Boys Open Current Standings after 3 races.
3) Girls Open Current Standings after 3 races.
CNISSF Sprints
Great day at ASC for the Truckee Sprints. Got cold after the sun went down but congratulations to Cody, Nora, Bella, Delphine, Matea and Anya who qualified for the quarterfinals. Video on youtube of how the girls kept themselves busy while waiting for the quarterfinal elimination heats to begin.
Once again the Girls got 5th in the Team competition and the Boys 6th. Gap to South Tahoe was bigger this week – looks like the Vikings are better sprinters than endurance racers. Cody, Tanner and Roy were comfortably in the top 10 Open Boys. Nora, Bella, Delphine and Matea made the top 10 Open Girls.
The results from today (not broken down by Varsity/Open) are available on the Far West Nordic Web-Site. We will have links to the complete scoring tomorrow.
A Heap of Racers
Previous Results and Standings
The results from 9 Jan Classic Race at ASC are available. Also the Team Standings for Contribution to Team Points. I have tabulated the performance numbers to show how far back our skiers were compared to the average times of the 2,3,4 place finishers. Per Cent Back is a number that shows how well you did relative to the best in the race. It is a lot more meaningful than a pure time for a distance as snow conditions and course difficulty can make some tracks a lot more difficult than others.
Sugar Bowl Race
Race at Sugar Bowl Fri 16th
Just a reminder that all athletes must give a signed waiver to the coach before you can attend the race. I handed out a bunch of the forms on Wednesday at practice. Make sure you get it to the coach by Friday morning. Check the team email for other race details.
More Spring Skiing
Had 12 team members skiing today (9 returnees and 3 newcomers). Snow conditions were very good. I have uploaded a Gopro video from the first lap we did today that shows you need eyes in the back of your head. Have a few more videos I will try and upload later. Next practice is on Sunday – be sure and sign up on Doodle.
